Students at Malawi University of Science and Technology, MUST have developed a drone technology that will be used in search and rescue operations during emergencies.Making their presentations during the graduation at MUST today, one of the students Clara Jere said modern rescue support system especially to lost children is vital for the country.The students have also come up with the same technology to address the inaccuracies which farmers make during application of chemicals in their farms.Currently, African Drone and Data Academy, ADDA is equipping youth in Africa with 21st century skills through drone flight and data analysis with support from UNICEF, Virginia Tech and FURMAN University.(By Christopher Sande – Blantyre)
